Visit Cannabiz Media at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo in Los Angeles and Boston

The Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo is heading to Los Angeles, California and Boston, Massachusetts, and Cannabis Media will be at both events. Visit the team in the Los Angeles Convention Center at booth #733 or in Boston’s John B. Hynes Convention Center at booth #223.

The Cannabiz Media team attended the CWCBExpo in New York earlier this year. “We’ve found the Cannabis World Business Congress and Expo to be a great place to learn from industry leaders and check out the latest innovations,” shares Davis Thode, Sales Consultant, Cannabiz Media. “We’re looking forward to seeing how the expos differ between the west and east coasts.”

The Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo (CWCBExpo) focuses on the business of cannabis. Attendees come from all fields including entrepreneurs, investors, healthcare professionals, regulators, government officials, agricultural professionals, ancillary business professionals, legal experts, and more.

The Los Angeles Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo

The Los Angeles Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo will be held on September 26-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will feature approximately 200 exhibitors and four days of workshops and conference sessions. Featured speakers include:

  • Cat Packer: Executive Director, Department of Cannabis Regulation, City of Los Angeles
  • Lori Ajax: Chief, Bureau of Cannabis Control, State of California
  • Rafael de la Cruz: General Partner, Universal Brand Ventures
  • Steve DeAngelo: Founder, Harborside Health Center

The event will begin with two workshops that can be added on to the conference registration: Open a Cannabis Business led by Clover Leaf University and Advanced Cannabis Investment led by NewFrontier Data.

Day two will feature a full day of conference sessions, which will kick off with a keynote address by cannabis rights activist and founder of Harborside Health Center, Steve DeAngelo.

After a networking break, attendees can choose between five educational tracks:

  • Policy and legislation
  • Medical
  • Retail

One add-on workshop will be offered by Marijuana Retail Report on day two: Cannabis Retailing: Beyond the Basics.

Day three will offer five tracks of education:

  • STEMed

In addition, two panel discussions will be held in the morning on day three where experts will discuss banking and regulation.

Day four educational tracks will cover the following topics:

  • Extraction and infusions
  • Banking
  • Edibles
  • Innovation
  • Taxation and legal

Three add-on workshops will also be offered on Saturday: The Secret Sauce: Developing IP and Production Best Practices with the incredibles Kitchen and Extraction Laboratory led by incredibles, California Deep Dive: An Evolving Cannabis Regulatory Landscape led by Hoban Law Group, and Growing Organic Cannabis led by author and organic grower at Lewis and Lowenfels, Jeffrey Lowenfells.

The Boston Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo

The Boston Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo will be held on October 17-20 and will feature over 100 exhibitors. Like the California conference, there will be four days of workshops and conference sessions. Featured speakers include:

  • Bill Weld, former Governor of Massachusetts
  • Montel Williams, television personality and founder of Lenitiv Scientific

The first day of the event will feature the same add-on workshops that will be offered on day one of the Los Angeles conference, but the educational sessions offered throughout the remainder of the conference will vary from what will be offered in Los Angeles.

On day two of the Boston conference, attendees will have the choice of attending sessions in four educational tracks:

  • Business opportunities
  • Investing
  • Policy and legal
  • Medical

Day three educational tracks include:

  • Cultivation
  • Northeast cannabis
  • Compliance
  • Retail

The final full day of conference sessions will offer the following four educational tracks to attendees:

  • Extraction and infusions
  • Banking and finance
  • Marketing
  • Innovation
