Founded in 1993 with humble beginnings of little more than a pint glass and a dream, Tony Magee has transformed Lagunitas from a home brewing initiative to a globally distributed brand.
For much of his life, including the time he spent building his company into the national and international brand it is today, Tony has remained both a vocal proponent of the cannabis industry and an enthusiastic consumer. Having already created beers such as the Kronik and Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale, Tony finally married his passion for beer with his fondness for cannabis in August 2017, when Lagunitas released SuperCritical Ale, a limited-edition beer infused with cannabis terpenes.
As a cannabis supporter and industry pioneer, Tony is expected to draw parallels between the two rapidly expanding markets and share the lessons lessons he’s learned over the last 25 years through scaling and operating his business in a highly-regulated industry. Tony says he looks forward to, “sharing [his] experiences, both good and bad, with other entrepreneurs.”
