Grove Bags was founded in 2016 with a goal to create custom-designed cannabis packaging that would effectively preserve and optimize the plant’s unique properties from cultivation to consumption. The company’s proprietary film blend, Terploc, and all of its products are tailored to the physiology of the plant and are 100% American made.
Cannabiz Media spoke with Chaz Hermanowski, Rocky Mountain Manager at Grove Bags, to learn more about his company and how they use the Cannabiz Media License Database to grow their business.
Why Does Grove Bags Subscribe to the Cannabiz Media License Database?
Grove Bags subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database not just to connect easily with license holders around the country but also to help their sales team save time and boost efficiency.
“The Cannabiz Media License Database is incredible,” says Chaz. “It does the research for our sales teams so they can focus on selling. Each sales team has a region that it focuses on. The Cannabiz Media License Database allows team members to hone in on specific areas and contact people who may not have been on our radar or whose contact information we couldn’t have gotten otherwise.”
With the COVID-19 pandemic causing the cancellation of trade shows and in-person events – a key source for the sales teams at Grove Bags to network and generate leads – the team has become even more reliant on the Cannabiz Media License Database. Chaz explains, “The License Database has taken the front-and-center role in our lead generation.”
Grove Bags uses many of the tools offered in the Cannabiz Media License Database to not just find prospects but also to market to them, particularly the built-in email marketing tools. “The database platform is incredible,” says Chaz. “We use the awesome email templates and the email template builder to make super aesthetic emails that resonate and help educate people about our company and products.”
Chaz offers two key tips to users of the Cananbiz Media License Database to ensure they get the most from its data and features. First, he says, “Ask your team what tags they want to use to organize and sort their leads, and then go into the tag section of the settings in the admin panel and set them up.”
In addition, Chaz recommends, “Use the filters to hone in, so you can tailor your outreach in a more authentic way. For example, tailor it by city or county and then make small changes in the email message copy so it resonates so much more with each person.”
What’s Next for Grove Bags?
Grove Bags is working to lead the way in the cannabis packaging industry in the future. He explains, “We’re trying to make Grove Bags that standard as far as preserving the actual product. We’re hoping to set a benchmark in the space and making sure consumers are protected at the end of the day. By establishing a benchmark or standard for packaging in the industry, it raises the bar for everyone.”
In addition, Grove Bags is actively educating people about its processes, products, and TerpLoc technology, and Cannabiz Media will continue to provide the data and tools the team needs to spread the word, generate leads, and build their business through targeted email marketing and customer relationship management.
