Cannabiz Media Client Spotlight – HAL Extraction

The HAL Extraction Booth is a system designed for safety and compliance in the plant oil extraction industry, including the cannabis extraction industry. The team at HAL Extraction offers extraction booth technology, design builds, consulting, and installation services developed to protect each business’ people, facility, and bottom line.

Cannabiz Media spoke with Xavier Jaillet, Outside Sales Manager at HAL Extraction, to learn more about his company and how his team uses the Cannabiz Media License Database for research, outreach, and business growth initiatives.

Why Does HAL Extraction Subscribe to the Cannabiz Media License Database?

HAL Extraction subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database to keep track of cannabis license changes and news across the country, to follow licenses across their lifetimes, and to conduct email outreach to build relationships, communicate with stakeholders, and grow the company’s business.

For example, Xavier says, “One of the main things I love about the Cannabiz Media License Database is the new and updated licenses information and the applicant phases that Cannabiz Media tracks.”

Xavier relies on the daily license change notification emails sent by Cannabiz Media to identify opportunities saying, “One of the most valuable things about the Cannabiz Media License Database is the daily updated license emails that I get.”

“I can follow a license and get news, updates, or changes in licensing relative to that company and the associated licenses – or updated contact information for key stakeholders in that company,” he explains. “I can sit down at my computer every day and have a list of people to reach out to that have had recent events that might make sense for me to reach out to them for. Giving a little context to my outreach really helps with the initial relationship building when it comes to communicating with those stakeholders.”

Having early access to new and changing license information via Cannabiz Media’s license alert email messages is essential to HAL Extraction’s ability to build relationships that lead to sales. Xavier explains, “A lot of states actually require applicants to submit building plans and floor plans as part of the application process. We’re trying to get in there before these companies have been approved to commence operations or break ground on their facility.”

In addition to tracking licenses and looking for opportunities by analyzing license data in the Cannabiz Media License Database, the team at HAL Extraction also uses it for lead generation and engagement.

“In light of COVID-19, we’ve been making a concerted effort to improve our digital marketing outreach,” says Xavier. “Cannabiz Media has been immensely helpful for us to plan these campaigns and get our foot in the door with a lot of folks. Cannabiz Media provides email contact information, social media pages, and other ways for us to engage with our prospects and our clients, and that’s been really big for us. Because it has the data in it, the Cannabiz Media License Database is really unlike any other CRM or sales tool that I’ve used before.”

Recently, HAL Extraction has used the Cannabiz Media License Database to spread the word about its webinars. Xavier says, “We’ve been using the email campaign tools to promote a webinar series that we’re doing. Being able to use Cannabiz Media to promote that outreach has been a huge help for us.”

What’s Next for HAL Extraction?

HAL Extraction is actively working on initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in the cannabis industry. “Any new market is exciting for us,” says Xavier. “I’m starting to see a bit of traction in Eastern Europe, which is exciting, so we’re working on finding manufacturing partners in Europe for our products. We’re also working on extraction adjacent products with some of our key clients to help make the extraction and cannabis curing process safer and more efficient.”

The company just released the HAL Extraction Booth 3.0, which allows more customization for clients and a human machine interface in the control panel. “It’s very exciting to see that get adopted by a lot of our clients,” Xavier says. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to continue that trend of ease-of-use when it comes to our products.”
