Zach says, “We brought in our marketing department to use the Cannabiz Media platform, and we brought in our audit team just to understand at not only a high level, but at more of a detailed level, the who, the what, the how long, and so on. For the team at Grassi CPAs, Zach explains, “Getting an understanding of who’s in the market, in any given market, is incredibly important. You can’t know how to properly service an industry, a region, or anything more detailed than that unless you understand the market itself, and Cannabiz Media’s tools are fantastic to help us do it.”
Zach shares some tips for other Cannabiz Media License Database subscribers to help them get the best results. He recommends, “Play around a bit. Make sure you know the region and market that you want to target and see what the output is. There is no better way to learn than that. There are great tutorials, and the customer service is fantastic. It’s been a great experience, and I’m happy to be a user.”

In the near future, Grassi CPAs will be closely watching new markets in the cannabis industry and learning as much as possible so the team can help new clients in those markets as they launch. “It’s really exciting to know there are five new markets coming online,” Zach shares. “We’ve already gotten quite a few requests to write research, start putting together financial models, and start thinking about what potential write-ups could look like for the applications as they come out.”
The Grassi CPAs team will also be busy learning about each new market. Zach explains, “Being educated is a big deal. We take education very seriously, so as new markets come online, you better believe that at 12:01 a.m. on that day, we have our noses to the books trying to understand each market.”
