In keeping with its goal to legitimize the cannabis industry with unbiased and smart financial reporting and become the “CNBC of Cannabis,” the Green Market Report is sponsoring its first event, The Advanced State of Cannabis Economic Conference, on September 14, 2018 in New York City on the 34th floor of One World Trade Center overlooking the 9/11 Memorial Plaza and the beautiful New York harbor with an amazing view of the Statue of Liberty. Cannabiz Media is excited to partner with the Green Market Report as a conference sponsor.
The conference is modeled after Wall Street equity research conferences. Green Market Report will release five new reports at the conference using exclusive data from industry experts. Each of the five corresponding panels will do deep dives into the data, not the typical fifty-thousand-foot view that many cannabis conferences bring. The topics will cover banking, e-commerce, international markets, the cannabis consumer, and the economic effect of medical marijuana on adult-use marijuana.
In addition to issuing five new research reports, TheStreet’s Jim Cramer will interview the new CEO of The Green Organic Dutchman, Brian Athiade, during the keynote. They’ll discuss cannabis company valuations, international markets, and much more. This is the first cannabis conference that Jim Cramer has participated in. TheStreet is a media partner for the event.
Plus, Acreage Holdings is sponsoring the event lunch just weeks before the company goes public. Acreage was in the new recently when it named John Boehner to its board of directors.
A who’s who of cannabis companies will be at this intimate event. Companies in attendance include transaction processor Hypur Inc., GreenWave Advisors, Canopy Rivers (soon to be spun out of Canopy Growth), MJ Freeway, MedMen, XIB Financial, Slang, Poseidon Asset Management, M-Tech Acquisitions, Consumer Research Around Cannabis, and Cannabis Benchmarks.
The audience will include Cowen & Co. analysts, Tiger 21 members, industry insiders, and more. The press will also be in attendance with reporters from TheStreet.com, CNN Money, Business Insider, and Investopedia.
At the same time, Green Market Report is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a party for attendees at Trinity Place Restaurant in lower Manhattan following the conference. The restaurant was built inside a turn of the century Wall Street bank vault commissioned by Andrew Carnegie and was advertised as the world’s largest and strongest bank vault in the world in 1904. You can enter the party, sponsored in part by MPX Bioceuticals, through the bank vault door.
This is a unique event and unlike many cannabis conferences. Friends of Cannabiz Media can get a 20% discount off the ticket price, but you have to click here to get the discount.
